Life is nothing short of a miracle. Does magic mean pulling out a dove from your hat or flowers from your sleeve? Magic is much more than what the eye meets. It is food for the soul. For me magic is waking up everyday to hear the birds, to read a book that inspires me to take action, to listen to the past tales of our ancestors.
As adults, when the reality of life hits we tend to forget all the magic we once believed in when we were kids. We get caught up in the daily routine of life, trying to survive each day as it comes. Miracles that happen everyday are missed.
Some of the things you can do to unlock the magic of life, the things that helped me are listed below.
Be friends with a kid:
I work with kids and that definitely kept the magic alive for me. To watch the world through their eyes. To listen to the stories they say. The small things that they find interesting. The stories they believe in.
Be mindful:
It is the ability to stay focused in your present environment. When you are in the present, you will learn to appreciate everything around you. Enjoy every moment. The wind, the birds, the people around, the sounds you hear. There is music and magic to it all if you only look.
Believe in magic:
As a kid taking a walk in the woods was exciting for me, I thought I may meet some of the fairies and gnomes I read about in my Enid Blyton books. Everything we looked at in wonder. From how your father would drive a car to how your mom would whip up something tasty with just two ingredients. It all felt like magic. Start looking at everything with that wonder you had when you were a child.
Find your spirit guide:
When my friend told me about spirit animals I wasn't sure what I was getting into. I often thought my spirit animal was a wolf or a tiger. When I realized my spirit animal stood for my core values and that has always been family to me. The way I have been adamant in pushing through all the hurdles life throws at me. I understood the meaning of why I saw a huge elephant as my Spirit Animal ( My Ray). From the day I recognized my spirit animal, I have found it much easier to believe in myself and my values.
Practice Gratitude:
When you start being grateful for everything that you have, you start seeing magic in your daily life. I got more connected to my family when I started being thankful for the family I have been blessed with. When you start practicing gratitude the universe gives you more of it. This has worked out so well for me.
Look at the future in wonder:
A lot of us are worried to look at a future. It sounds scary for some. Start looking at your future in wonder. Thinking what lessons it has in store for you, the experience that will come your way. All this is magic. Living and life itself is a magic.
Dream:
Ever sat in class dreaming of something and your teacher would ask you to stop dreaming? Well, When I find the kids dreaming I love listening to it. What was their dream? How did it make them feel? Can they turn their dreams into reality? If so what do they plan on doing? These are things that we need to ask ourselves too.
Find your tribe:
Find people of your vibe. When you meet people who love the same things you do, there is a sense of affirmation that things will happen well for you too. It brings in a lot of positivity when people are of the same vibe.
Finding magic is just not limited to this. Look for miracles in your daily life. The magic a sunrise brings in, the life that it awakens.

I am listing down some of the magic I have experienced. The magic that in no way is close to the one you were made to believe in.
The first time I realized I love animals. The feeling still is ineffable.
The day my father took me trekking into the wild. That was when I knew I was in tune with nature.
My mothers freshly made dessert when I get home from school.
Climbing the peach trees around my house on Sunday mornings.
Eating the produce from your garden. This definitely gives a sense of achievement.
My parents teaching me to respect mother nature. This would be the base of all my life lessons.
The first time I swam in a stream in the forests. It made me feel renewed.
Looking at the night sky. I felt like there was magic all around me.
Dancing on my own in my room.
Walking away from something that made feel worthless. Definitely a difficult one, but I learnt to love myself.
My first trip abroad.
Walking on the streets in a foreign country, singing and dancing on the empty roads.
The times when elephants chased our vehicles. Each memory seems magical now.
The silent starry nights, hearing the wild animals in my room.
Walking up a hill to see the blue flowers that bloom in 12years.
Picnic near a waterfall in the mountains.
Treasure hunt in a jungle.
Plucking wild flowers during my treks.
Watching the morning frost as I walked to school.
Accepting myself.
Magic is found in the little things. It is not just about spells. For me Magic is intention. The universe works to give us everything. We just need to learn to tap into it. A world of possibilities. Play with all the possibilities and expect nothing. Give it your best. Next time you look at the world, look at it with wonder and enjoy the little things. Find your own "MAGIC".
