Life's Purpose

A term often used these days, when the vast majority of the people around are into their state of spiritual awakening. This notion has intrigued me since my college days, as I often found myself pondering the reason for my existence and my purpose on Earth. Years rolled on and I remained clueless. When I discussed this topic a lot of people thought of it as an eccentric behavior for a twenty-year-old.

I read in a book that in a few years, there will be a collective awakening. I did not understand then what the book meant. What did the author mean by collective awakening? How could such a vast number of individuals be part of this awakening? Time passed by and the question of life's purpose had no answer.

So what was this collective awakening that was mentioned in the book? How could it happen? Fast forward to the year 2020. A vast development in technology. People around the globe seemed to be more connected virtually. The world feels like anything can be possible. And the pandemic somehow brought people together. Dynamics that never existed before seemed to work well now. There was a shift in the consciousness in a vast majority of people. An increased awareness and interconnectedness. A desire for personal growth outdid the times of material growth. People wanted to travel to explore the world. To explore a different level of consciousness. I am sure the awakening spread more than the pandemic, giving few souls respite that the world is healing.

Very recently I wanted a break from my spiritual search. I felt that I would find no answers to a lot of questions that I had. Everyone or every book spoke from their level of understanding. It was during this supposed "spiritual break," of mine I understood there is nothing called a spiritual break as once you are on the path, then life follows you. It becomes an integral part of who you are. It defines your inner being.

When my granny fell sick I stopped Tarot reading for a while out of fear that my cards might provide guidance beyond my comprehension and I would interpret it with the limited knowledge a human possesses. During this time, I took to binge-watching series, cleaning, socialising, and reading. And one fine day, as I was having a discussion with my husband I realised this man had no idea of spirituality but he seemed more evolved than a lot of people I knew, who have been trying to find answers to a lot of things. I understood that not everyone who is familiar with spiritual terms and practices necessarily possesses a deeper understanding or wisdom.

As I sat with this thought, a deeper realisation of life's purpose became clear. While it may not resonate with everyone, I listened to my soul speak to my mind, Embracing the present moment, and experiencing a range of emotions and even pain, is an intrinsic part of this purpose. These are things you do not feel in the other realms. Our life's purpose is to live a life our soul has chosen and deal with the everyday nuances. Let spirituality be an integral part but let it not be your very essence. let life choose us, let the universe guide us, and allow the natural flow of life to unfold. It's possible that you have chosen to embody the human form to bring new life into the world, to complete unfinished tasks, to gain a deeper understanding of relationships, or to break generational patterns. So, let not your success materialistically define you. You probably have come to learn a lesson different from those around you. And this just makes me feel that each of us is special in our own way.

Live and let live!

Love,

The Celestial Light
