Discovering a Psychic!

As Naomi sat up in the middle of the night, she knew she could see something in the darkness. As a 8 year old she wondered if it was a character from the stories her mother read to her or a dream. This had now started to be a dream she constantly dreamt of. But with each passing night the figure and message had more clarity.

Naomi's Mother: Shaylynn

"Ma, Do you see people who may not exist in our life?"Shay was surprised but it did not reflect on her face. "I don't see anyone, but why do you ask this?". Her daughter was already in a world of her own. Her thoughts seem to have no limits but she was determined to ensure her fairytale childhood remains intact for as much as she could protect her. As a mother she was unsure of if her little girl was just living out a fairytale she read or if it was something more.

A few weeks later Naomi told her mom that she saw her Great-nana pass onto another world. In a few days they got a call saying that Great-nana passed away. Shay was dumbfounded, was this just a coincidence? She let it pass. Naomi kept telling her of the dreams. It started making sense to her that her daughter had a gift. Completely unaware of how to handle it she left it to the universe to decide. A few years later Naomi predicted another death in the family. Shay knew it was no coincidence. She sat with Naomi to understand what and how she saw these events. "Baby, you should not be frightened of the people you see. They are probably reaching out to you for help or trying to help you. Hear what they have to say. Mama's prayers will always be there to protect you." She saw Naomi's relief when she said it. Something told Shay this is going to be bigger than she can handle. With only her paryers to protect her baby girl, Shay knew no other way and left the rest to take its own course.

They returned to their ancestral home a few days later to discuss family matters. All of a sudden they heard the kids screaming. As they rushed out Shay saw Naomi slowly walk back when the rest of them were running from something or someone. The elders gathered around the kids as they pointed out to Naomi and said "Nay saw someone in the cattle shed. Someone we could not see. A ghost." The elders laughed about it and called Naomi. Shay braced herself as she knew this was the time the entire clan would know about her little girl.

Naomi:

"What did you see? Have you been watching too many movies?" Naomi looked up at them and said "I saw a woman who knows the family. Her name is Catherine. She has a a little kid with her as she screamed at us and told us not to enter her place." The elders looked like they had seen a ghost. What was happening? Why were they worried?
